Actor Axel Schreiber, who became known to a broad audience through the ARD series "Turkish for Beginners," died on June 3 at the age of 49 from the consequences of a cancer illness.

As his agency Hübchen announced via Instagram, Axel Schreiber succumbed to the consequences of a cancer illness. The agency published an emotional post on Wednesday, in which it confirmed the actor's death. Sanna Hübchen, co-owner of the agency, said: "It is very, very sad." Previously, the newspaper "Bild" had also reported on the death.

Farewell from the Agency

The Instagram post further stated: "For us, you were not only a wonderful actor, but also a companion, best friend, our family, buddy, colleague, dream interpreter, traveler, and seeker." The agency also recalled Schreiber's last days: "In the last few days, you spoke of traveling between worlds, and it sounded beautiful and peaceful."
