The 20-year-old Jack Kayil of Alba Berlin was selected with the 39th pick in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets and subsequently traded to the New York Knicks.
Following the German championship title, Jack Kayil traveled directly to New York to take part in the Draft. The selection took place on Wednesday (local time) in the Brooklyn borough of New York, one day after the first round with picks 1 through 30. The Houston Rockets secured the services of the guard at pick number 39 and immediately transferred him to the New York Knicks.
