Aldi Nord has recalled a dried basil of its own brand Le Gusto after salmonella was detected in the product; a batch with an expiration date of March 2028, which was sold in ten federal states, is affected.
The discounter Aldi Nord is announcing a recall for rubbed basil of its own brand Le Gusto. The trigger is the detection of salmonella in the dried product. The warning was published on the consumer portal lebensmittelwarnung.de, which is operated by, among others, the authorities of the federal states and the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL).
Specifically affected is a 15-gram jar of rubbed basil with batch number B 15 and an expiration date of March 2028. According to the company, the product was sold in ten federal states: Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein, and Thuringia.
