Premier League club Fulham FC presented Álvaro Arbeloa as its new head coach on Tuesday; the 43-year-old Spaniard succeeds Marco Silva and has been given a contract running until June 30, 2029.

Álvaro Arbeloa takes over as head coach at Fulham FC, making him the first Spaniard in the history of the London club. As the club announced on Tuesday, the 43-year-old has been given a three-year contract running until June 30, 2029. He succeeds Marco Silva, who had previously been in charge of the Cottagers for 1,825 days and 229 matches.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan was impressed by the new coach's presentation. "Alvaro was initially one of several candidates, but distinguished himself as our new head coach in our June talks with an exceptionally convincing presentation. I am very pleased that Álvaro has accepted the challenge of continuing to move the Fulham club forward," Khan said. Arbeloa himself spoke of a great honor: "It is a great honor for me to begin this new chapter at Fulham FC, the oldest club in London. I am confident that we will experience an incredible journey together."
