Former ÖFB team captain Andreas Herzog called for a rethink in Austrian youth development during a discussion with Rainer Pariasek and placed the lessons of the World Cup in North America in context for the ÖFB.
Following the end of the World Cup in North America, former ÖFB team captain Andreas Herzog opened the discussion about the future of Austrian football. On a program on Sky, he spoke with Rainer Pariasek about the insights from the tournament and the question of what consequences the ÖFB should draw from it.
Herzog formulated a clear demand to those in charge. He said: „Brauchen Umdenken in Nachwuchsausbildung". With that, he expressed that, from his perspective, structural reforms are necessary so that Austria remains competitive internationally in the future.
