The AI company Anthropic plans, according to its own statements, to go public in September or October 2026 and could be valued at up to two trillion US dollars in the process.

According to reports by the Wall Street Journal, Anthropic wants to target a market capitalization when going public that would bring the start-up close to the currently most valuable listed corporations in the world. The targeted range of up to two trillion US dollars is above the current market value of established industry heavyweights and underscores the growing importance of AI companies on the capital markets.

A comparison with the largest listed companies shows the scale of the targeted valuation. NVIDIA is currently valued at around 5.16 trillion US dollars, followed by Apple at 4.52 trillion and Alphabet at 4.20 trillion US dollars. Microsoft comes in at 3.65 trillion, Amazon at 2.82 trillion, and semiconductor manufacturer TSMC at 2.16 trillion US dollars.
