Apple will unveil its first foldable iPhone, rumored to be called "Ultra," in September 2026, but will only be able to deliver a maximum of around one million units at launch, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's assessment.

The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities has now drawn conclusions from information within Apple's supply chain about what the sales strategy will be. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed via an X post on Sunday that the availability of the new "Ultra" will likely be very limited. At launch, only around 10 percent of the units sold this year are expected to be available, according to the analyst.
