Apple has announced its next operating systems with iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, which according to the manufacturer are to run up to 80 percent faster through system-wide optimizations.
The company from Cupertino is focusing primarily on product maintenance rather than major new features. According to Apple, apps on iPhone and iPad should launch up to 30 percent faster thanks to improved caching. Photos are said to land in iCloud Photos up to 70 percent faster, as the company explained in a video podcast.
Speed offensive with ambitious promises
Closing windows in iPadOS 27 has also been accelerated. In macOS 27, codenamed Golden Gate, creating accounts is faster, the health and fitness apps update their data more quickly, and workouts start more rapidly. Depending on the device, Wi-Fi connections are also established faster, and switching between Wi-Fi and 5G happens more quickly – especially when an N1 chip is working in the device.
