Apple can only deliver parts of its MacBook lineup in a limited manner due to a memory shortage, because demand for AI infrastructure is tying up the global memory manufacturers.

Shortage Hits Apple's Flagship

According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the shortage is hitting the company's flagship. For the first time, Apple's marketing materials are directing greater focus to the base model of the MacBook Pro, apparently to point buyers toward what's deliverable, while higher-spec configurations are harder to come by. Exactly how long delivery times will be cannot be conclusively determined from the available reports.
