Ubisoft brings Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced to market on July 9 for Windows, PS5, and Xbox Series, a fully rebuilt remake of the 2013 pirate adventure Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

As the name suggests, the 2013 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has been rebuilt from the ground up using the Anvil engine. The video game is a completely overhauled new edition of the successful 2013 pirate adventure and, according to Ubisoft, does not contain a single line of code from the original. It costs around 60 euros. For this review, we played through the Windows version.

In the early 18th century, the Caribbean is the stage for numerous battles, where Edward Kenway, a Welshman (not a Brit!), seeks his fortune as a pirate. The day laborer Edward Kenway sees his future at sea, leaves his wife Caroline, and sets out in pursuit of riches. It is about the free pirate republic of Nassau, the fight against oppression, Edward's striving for wealth, and the mysterious Observatory. "Black Flag" is a prequel to "Assassin's Creed 3," which takes place several decades later during the American Revolutionary War. Alongside historical figures such as the pirate legends Blackbeard and Anne Bonny, Edward encounters a diverse game world, above all Havana as well as the Caribbean including Cuba and Jamaica.
