Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has publicly and "unambiguously" apologized for risqué remarks about pop singer Kylie Minogue on a comedy podcast.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has publicly apologized for remarks on a comedy podcast that had drawn criticism. As his deputy Richard Marles emphasized, the head of government had "apologized unambiguously." The apology came after an episode of comedian Nikki Osborne's podcast "Bush Deep" was released late last week.

On the podcast, Albanese took part in the game "Shag, Marry, Date." He was supposed to decide which of three Australian celebrities – Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore – he would most likely sleep with, marry, and go on a date with. Albanese declared Minogue his favorite in the "sleep with" category and said of the singer: "She is great."
