The 18-year-old Austrian U19 national team player Oliver Sorg is moving from German Bundesliga club FC Augsburg to SV Oberbank Ried and receives a contract in the Innviertel until 2029.

SV Oberbank Ried announces a prominent new signing from the German Bundesliga: Oliver Sorg, Austrian U19 team player, is leaving FC Augsburg and joining the club from the Innviertel. The defender, who was most recently active in FCA's second team as well as in the U19, receives a contract until 30 June 2029. According to the club, this is the fifth new signing of the Black-Greens for the coming season of the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career path and previous appearances

Sorg, born on 31 July 2007, had already been trained in Austrian youth academies before his engagement in Germany. His current market value is estimated at around 400,000 euros. Regarding his transfer, the youngster referred to his own experiences from matches against academy teams and Sturm Graz II: „Ich habe früher mit der Akademie, auch mit Sturm II, gegen Ried gespielt. Bei den ersten Trainings habe ich das hohe Niveau hier in Ried schon miterleben können.
