New Austrian women's national football team coach Lars Söndergaard has selected a familiar-looking 24-player squad for June's World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Norway.

The 67-year-old Danish coach, who took over recently, has kept faith with most players who featured in Austria's last match - a 0-0 draw against Germany in World Cup qualification. 'I've selected this team because I believe these are the best players available,' Söndergaard said in German during the squad announcement.

Key inclusions are striker Nicole Billa, who returns after injury, and midfielder Sarah Zadrazil who will join as an 'additional player' due to her role in the team leadership. Billa, 30, scored 19 goals this season to help VfB Stuttgart earn promotion to Germany's top league.
