Bayern Munich thrashed Bodø/Glimt 5:0 in the Champions League on Thursday evening, with Jamal Musiala marking his return from injury with a goal.
Bayern Munich delivered a commanding 5:0 victory over Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in their Champions League group-stage match. The Bavarians were already well ahead by halftime, allowing head coach Vincent Kompany to rest players and rotate in the second half. The night at the home arena belonged above all to one man: Jamal Musiala, who returned to the starting lineup after an injury layoff and promptly found the net.
Musiala announces his return
Musiala himself looked relieved after the match and spoke openly about his feelings in an interview with DAZN: "Darüber bin ich glücklich." The attacking player had been sidelined in the weeks prior and had clearly been looking forward to returning to action. His goal felt like a release – for him personally, but also for the team's attacking structure.
