BBC journalist Misha Glenny described the inaugural speech of new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham as surprisingly passionate in an interview on the ORF program ZiB 2, while warning against inflated expectations.
Passionate appearance with reservations
Speaking with ZiB 2 anchor Armin Wolf, the British journalist described Burnham's first speech as unexpectedly engaged. "He was full of passion. He was full of commitment," Glenny said. In doing so, the new head of government clearly distinguished himself from his predecessor Keir Starmer, whose demeanor Glenny characterized as "always so restrained," "as if he had no self-confidence."
