On the rail line between Berlin and Hamburg, closures will again take place in the coming nights in order to remedy remaining defects and carry out further optimizations on the route.
Deutsche Bahn is using the nighttime quiet hours to carry out remaining works on the entire stretch between Berlin and Hamburg. After several weeks of full operation, remaining defects were identified that are now to be fixed, as a railway spokesperson announced.
The closures are planned so that they fall outside of peak travel times. In this way, the railway aims to keep disruptions for commuters and travelers as low as possible.
