Mugello, 31 May 2026

Marco Bezzecchi secured an emotional first home victory at the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix in Mugello on Sunday, thrilling a crowd of 178,000 fans.

The 27-year-old Aprilia rider, who had gone winless in the three previous races, completed the 23-lap race in 40 minutes and 57.347 seconds. He finished 3.559 seconds ahead of teammate Jorge Martin, with Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia taking third place, 5.098 seconds behind the winner.

Bezzecchi's triumph marked his fourth Grand Prix win of the season and spoiled Ducati's 100-year anniversary celebration at their home circuit. Bagnaia, who had won the Mugello race every year from 2022 to 2024, led for much of the contest before Bezzecchi made his decisive move.
