Marc Marquez won the MotoGP Sprint at the Hungarian Grand Prix on the Balaton Park Circuit on Saturday, tying Jorge Martin's record with his 18th Sprint success.

Seven-time MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez celebrated a lights-to-flag victory at the Balaton Park Circuit near Lake Balaton. Starting from pole position, the Spaniard led the entire distance on his factory Ducati and crossed the finish line with a 1.5-second lead over second-placed Pedro Acosta. The winning time was 21:22.047 minutes.

For Marquez, this was his third Sprint victory of the current 2026 season. With his 18th Sprint success overall, he has drawn level with Jorge Martin in the ranking of the most successful Sprint riders in MotoGP history, who had previously held the sole lead in this statistic. However, in the World Championship standings themselves, Martin remains at the front: Marco Bezzecchi leads the classification with a 20-point advantage over Martin.
