Bitcoin surpassed the $63,000 mark on Monday, fully offsetting the price losses suffered in June, while the broader crypto market posted significant gains at the start of the third quarter.
On Monday morning at 09:41, Bitcoin was trading at $62,943.39, according to finanzen.net, after having stood at $63,530.59 the previous day. The following day, the price reached $63,061.17, according to its own data, corresponding to a daily gain of 0.71 percent. On a weekly basis, the oldest and largest cryptocurrency thus gained 5.07 percent.
The jump above the $63,000 mark fell on the U.S. holiday on July 4, according to the portal. "Bei dünner Liquidität können Kursbewegungen in beide Richtungen überzeichnet ausfallen," it said for context. Within just five trading days, the BTC price climbed from below $60,000 to above $63,000.
