A BMW driver raced through a 30 km/h zone on Residenzstraße in Berlin-Reinickendorf on Monday morning at 134 km/h and was caught speeding directly in front of a daycare center.

Berlin police had set up a radar vehicle on Residenzstraße when the sports convertible passed through the measurement zone during the morning rush hour. According to police, the vehicle was measured at 134 km/h – 104 km/h above the permitted limit. Police published the speed camera photo via their WhatsApp channel. The post reads verbatim: "Mit Tempo 134 in 30er-Zone an Kita geblitzt" and "Mitten im Berufsverkehr die Polizei dort mit einem Radarwagen postiert".

According to police, a daycare center is located in the immediate vicinity of the speed camera site. Residenzstraße in Reinickendorf is designated as a 30 km/h zone. The measurement took place in broad daylight in the morning, when commuters and parents on their way to the daycare center were out and about.
