The match-winner on Norway's side was Erling Haaland, who completed the trip to the quarterfinals with a brace (two goals). For Neymar, who played 130 international matches and scored 80 goals in his career, the defeat was his final appearance in the Seleção jersey: he announced his retirement from the Brazilian national team immediately afterward.
