The breach of trust trial against former Linz mayor Klaus Luger (SPÖ) will continue on August 21 at the Linz Regional Court.
At the center of the proceedings is the charge of breach of trust in connection with the so-called Brucknerhaus affair. The public prosecutor's office accuses Luger of having commissioned a legal expert opinion worth just under 19,000 euros in the course of the affair, which, in its assessment, primarily served his own interests.
The damage attributed to Luger amounts to around 20,000 euros according to the indictment. The public prosecutor's office considers the offense of breach of trust to be fulfilled because the expert opinion deals extensively with the criminal relevance of the so-called "leaking" of information."Die Staatsanwaltschaft sieht das Delikt der Untreue erfüllt, weil sich das Gutachten ausführlich der strafrechtlichen Relevanz des "Durchstechens" widme."
