The ice cream 'Brickerl', reintroduced in February, is nearly sold out in Austria due to the ongoing heatwave and sharply increased demand, as manufacturer Eskimo announced on Tuesday.
The ice cream classic 'Brickerl', which Eskimo only brought back to the market in February of this year, has, according to the company, been nearly consumed on account of the current weather conditions and high demand. In a press release issued on Tuesday, the company stated that some products in the range were regionally or temporarily unavailable.
The individually sold impulse variant of the 'Brickerl', typically offered in freezers at supermarket checkouts, is in particular only available to a limited extent for the time being. According to Eskimo, a shortage situation in the cool shelves near checkouts cannot be entirely avoided. The larger intermediate 'Brickerl' pack size intended for household use, by contrast, remains available in the food retail trade.
