Alongside the 'Brickerl', the water ice varieties 'Twinni' and 'Jolly' were also particularly in demand, according to the company. „Von all diesen Klassikern wurde in diesem Zeitraum doppelt so viel wie an normalen Sommertagen verkauft - und das längst nicht nur in Freibädern oder an Badeseen", heißt es in der Aussendung weiter. Dieser Anstieg deckt sich mit einer Branchenregel: Überschreiten die Temperaturen 30 Grad Celsius, steigt der Eiskonsum erfahrungsgemäß um rund 30 Prozent.

Eskimo arbeite „mit Hochdruck daran, alle Verkaufsstellen bestmöglich zu versorgen. Gleichzeitig freut uns die große Begeisterung für unsere Marken und Produkte sehr", so Huber-Schallmeiner wörtlich. Das Unternehmen kündigte an, dass die Wiederaufnahme des 'Brickerl' nicht wie ursprünglich geplant befristet bleibt: Aufgrund der starken Nachfrage werde das Produkt auch im Jahr 2027 dauerhaft Teil des Eskimo-Sortiments sein.

Eskimo expects the current supply situation to ease by August. Until then, individual points of sale may temporarily remain without the popular impulse variant. The company asked consumers for patience and pointed to alternative pack sizes.
