The ÖVP Business Federation expects that the reduction of the FLAF employer contribution by one percentage point will provide domestic companies with net relief of around 800 million euros in 2028.
Specifically, the contribution to the Family Burden Equalization Fund (FLAF) is to drop from 3.7 to 2.7 percent of the contribution base starting in 2028. This emerges from calculations by the Business Federation, which were presented on Monday. Business Federation Secretary General Tanja Graf praised the adjustment of contributions on Monday as a "good step" for the business location and also saw positive impulses for the domestic economy in further measures such as the "Aktivpension."
