On the Großarl state road (L109) in Pongau, a car left the road on Friday morning and plunged into the Großarler Ache; three occupants were injured, one of them seriously.
According to the emergency services, the accident occurred on Friday morning in the municipal area of Großarl. As initially reported by "Salzburg24", the vehicle left the road on the L109 and landed in the riverbed of the Großarler Ache. Three occupants were injured, one person sustained serious injuries.
Course of the accident
Around 8 a.m., a seriously injured person was still trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by the fire department. The rescue services then took over the care of the injured at the scene of the accident.
According to the emergency services, the rescue chain was deployed with a large-scale response: four ambulances, two emergency doctor vehicles, a general practitioner, and the emergency medical helicopter Alpinheli 6 were alerted and dispatched to the accident site.
