Following Ghana's elimination in the round of 16 of the World Cup against Colombia, Carlos Queiroz is no longer head coach of the Ghanaian national team.
Queiroz had taken over the position in April of this year, after his predecessor Otto Addo lost his post following a friendly match defeat in Germany. The Iranian-Portuguese coach was therefore only in the role for a few months before announcing his departure after the World Cup elimination. In a statement, he criticized the Ghanaian football federation (GFA) and drew an overall balance of his tenure.
