Cristian Mungiu Wins Second Palme d’Or at Cannes 2026 with ‘Fjord’

‘Fjord’ prevailed over a field of 21 other competition titles. Among the most talked-about entries was a film starring German actress Sandra Hüller, which depicts a road trip taken by author Thomas Mann and his daughter Erika through war-ravaged Germany in 1949.
