Cybercriminals attacked supermarket refrigeration systems in Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, Luxembourg, Estonia, Finland and the Netherlands, causing refrigerators and freezers to become warmer.

The attacks on refrigeration technology in seven European countries were carried out by cybercriminals. Temperatures rose in refrigerators and freezers at the supermarkets affected. The available information does not indicate how many stores or appliances were affected.

A central target was the refrigeration technology. The refrigeration technology company Danfoss was mentioned several times in the sources, while the supermarket chain ICA also played a role in the reporting. Belga and other news agencies reported on the incidents in the individual countries.
