The German leading index DAX is expected to start trading on Wednesday with a slight gain. Tailwind comes primarily from the moderate gains on Wall Street and the expectation of signals from the US Federal Reserve at the central bank meeting in Jackson Hole.

The DAX is expected to open on Wednesday with positive guidance from the USA, after the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 had posted slight gains the previous day.

On Wall Street, sentiment had brightened slightly on Tuesday. While the Dow Jones rose by a mere 0.03 percent to 53,481.27 points around 4:00 p.m., the broad-based S&P 500 managed to add 0.30 percent to 7,698.84 points. The US indices thus gained only moderately, but signaled confidence to the European markets for the start of trading.

On the German stock market, attention was directed among other things at the software group SAP. Investors were able to trade the stock via the platform of DZ Bank using factor warrants. The product ideas included both long and short variants with a factor of 4 and open end as the term.
