According to the artist, numerous visitors in the hall joined in singing the anthem during the appearance in Saxony-Anhalt. Steimle expressed surprise at how well-versed the attendees were in the lyrics as they sang along. The Dessau-Roßlau public prosecutor's office has subsequently opened an investigation on suspicion of disturbing the public peace by threatening criminal offenses under Section 126 of the Criminal Code.
