The Deutsche Telekom increased its operating profit in the second quarter and slightly raised its annual forecast for free cash flow. This is according to the company figures released on Thursday. The group now expects a somewhat stronger cash inflow from operating business than previously assumed.
In its day-to-day business, the Bonn-based DAX group once again benefited from its US subsidiary T-Mobile US, which has driven the group's growth in recent years. Group CEO Timotheus Höttges also said that mobile satellite connections are a useful addition to the existing network, particularly in rural areas. The management was thus responding to the discussion about direct satellite offerings for smartphones.
