A 65-year-old intoxicated motorbike rider threatened police officers with being killed during a traffic check on Friday evening in Gallspach in the district of Grieskirchen and was temporarily arrested.

Officers from the Grieskirchen police station noticed a conspicuous motorbike rider in the municipal area of Gallspach on Friday at around 6:15 p.m. Based on his riding behavior, the officers stopped the man. As the Upper Austria State Police Directorate reported, they determined an obvious severe impairment during the check.

The officers asked him to take a breathalyzer test. The man refused. He became aggressive and began insulting the officers. During the course of the check, the 65-year-old is said to have become increasingly aggressive, as the police stated.
