During the check, they determined an obvious severe impairment, according to the Upper Austria State Police Directorate. The 65-year-old was out riding his motorbike when he caught the officers' attention. He refused the requested breathalyzer test.

They could not confiscate a driver's license from him because he does not have one. The 65-year-old does not in fact possess a driving license, according to the police. He therefore already lacked the basic requirement to operate a motorized vehicle in public road traffic.

No Driver's License Existent

After the check, the man must now expect several reports. The police will report him to the Grieskirchen/Eferding district administration. The Wels public prosecutor's office will also be involved in the case.

The officers remained uninjured, according to the police. The 65-year-old was released after the temporary arrest once the initial investigative steps had been completed.
