A 15-year-old in Vienna has been sentenced by a fast-track judge to a fine of 5,260 euros after repeatedly riding an e-scooter recklessly in the city area.
The charges followed a series of incidents in which the teenager allegedly rode at excessive speed and in violation of traffic rules. Residents had repeatedly complained about the dangerous rides.
The verdict was announced as part of a fast-track court procedure. In addition to the fine, further conditions were imposed on the 15-year-old to prevent future incidents.
