Consumers in Nuremberg are becoming increasingly optimistic about economic development, but remain cautious about major purchases, said NIM consumer expert Rolf Bürkl.
Consumers’ economic expectations in Nuremberg and across Germany have recently improved. Despite this generally positive trend, the appetite for major purchases is limited, according to NIM consumer expert Rolf Bürkl. The outlook for the overall economy and consumers’ personal financial situations is being assessed differently.
Rolf Bürkl cites growing concerns about inflation and muted income outlooks as the main reasons for cautious purchasing. These factors restrain the willingness to make major purchases. However, the propensity to save has declined moderately in his assessment, indicating a certain degree of willingness to make changes.
