After eight bodies were found in a burned-out house in Grand Haven Township, Michigan, autopsies have revealed that the 47-year-old father shot his six children and his 39-year-old wife before taking his own life. Sheriff Jake Sparks described it as an indescribable tragedy and announced further investigations.

After eight bodies were found in a burned-out house in the U.S. state of Michigan, autopsies have revealed that a 47-year-old father shot his six children, aged between five and 15, as well as his 39-year-old wife, before killing himself.

The bodies were discovered on Friday following a house fire in Grand Haven Township on the shores of Lake Michigan. The local sheriff's office had initially only reported the fire and the eight deaths. On Monday (local time), investigators presented the autopsy results at a press conference.
