After the death of an eight-year-old girl in Kumberg in Styria, the police questioning of the child's parents is still ongoing.
The investigations into the death of an eight-year-old girl in Kumberg, district of Graz-Umgebung, were still underway on Tuesday. As the Styrian State Police Directorate announced, the child's parents are currently being questioned by police. A spokesperson explained that they were also examining whether the father might suffer from a mental illness.
"We assume that the public prosecutor's office will appoint an expert in this regard who can determine this," the APA quoted from a statement by the LPD Steiermark. This question had no immediate impact on the ongoing questioning.
Background of the case
The background to the investigations is the death of the girl, who, according to the current state of the investigation, died in the parents' apartment in Kumberg. According to earlier information, the child was taken to LKH Graz, where she succumbed to her injuries.
