Eintracht Braunschweig celebrated a 4-0 away win at 1. FC Magdeburg on the second matchday of the 3. Liga, following up their opening-day victory against Viktoria Köln with another three points.
Match summary and goals
Sebastian Müller put Braunschweig in front after just 17 minutes. What followed was a one-sided affair in which the Magdeburg defense barely got to grips with the attacking play of the Lower Saxony side. Once again, the team had "vor allem mit viel Geduld aufgetreten" and refused to be thrown off its game by the home side's pressure, according to the winner's post-match analysis.
Just before the break, Lino Tempelmann added a second to effectively settle the contest. The midfielder converted a pass from strike partner Fabio Kaufmann, who had already engineered several dangerous moments earlier on. In the second half, Anton Donkor and substitute Max Marie made it 4-0, completing a thoroughly deserved away win in both result and margin.
