Elon Musk has announced that his AI service Grok Imagine will produce a feature-length, "historically accurate" film about Homer's "Odyssey" before the end of the year, while Christopher Nolan's theatrical adaptation of the epic is currently hitting cinemas.

Musk shared the announcement through a post on his platform X. "Noch vor Ende des Jahres wird Grok Imagine einen abendfüllenden Film über die Odyssee machen, der historisch korrekt ist und Homers Werk gerecht wird," the billionaire wrote. With the project, he appears to be positioning himself in competition with Nolan's lavish theatrical adaptation, which—following its box-office success over the past week—stands as the current reference point for the ancient epic.
