Europe’s leading stock exchanges posted moderate gains in early trading on Tuesday, with technology stocks recording the largest price increases following strong quarterly results from SpaceX and positive analyst commentary on EssilorLuxottica.
Trading at Europe’s major stock exchanges opened at a premium on Tuesday. Investors mainly bought technology stocks after SpaceX reported a profit in the billions for the recently concluded quarter. This development prompted a broad recovery in artificial intelligence, which had recently suffered from volatility.

EssilorLuxottica was also in focus. Citigroup analysts rated the eyewear manufacturer’s stock a buy and pointed to its current valuation level. “The stock remains a buy and is trading at the lower end of its historical valuation,” the study said. The stock responded to the rating with substantial price gains.
