Betim Fazliji scored a goal in the Swiss Cup that was preceded by a hard tackle from Mihailo Stevanovic which went unpunished; Fazliji's shot was subsequently deflected in such a way that it sailed over the goal line as an unstoppable loop.
Betim Fazliji found the net during a Swiss Cup match after a robust tackle from Mihailo Stevanovic was executed against him in the middle of the pitch and was not stopped by the officiating team. In the continuing action, Fazliji himself struck the shot, which was deflected by another player in its flight path and trickled into the net as a high loop. The ball was therefore not direct, but through the deflection became incalculable for the opposing goalkeeper.
Immediately after the goal, the action on the pitch was the center of discussions, as the preceding duel had gone unpunished. Stevanovic's intervention met the criteria for a whistle according to the available reports, but had no consequence for the rhythm of the game. Without the sustained attack after the unwhistled incident, Fazliji's shot would not have come about in the relevant position.
