East Rutherford, July 17, 2026

Two days before the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, tickets are being listed on FIFA's official resale platform for up to $2.3 million.

The price range on the platform is enormous: while the cheapest ticket is going for around $7,200 according to available information, numerous other listings also sit well above the $100,000 mark. FIFA originally priced final tickets between $800 and $11,000 depending on category. Resale prices are in some cases many times higher than the original price.

Officially, the final is sold out. Through FIFA, fans can still pass on their tickets – sellers set the price themselves, with no binding cap. The world body takes 15 percent of the sale price from both the buyer and the seller. If one of the tickets listed at $2.3 million were actually sold, nearly $690,000 in fees alone would flow to the association.
