On Tuesday morning, a dust explosion occurred at an industrial plant in St. Georgen im Flachgau, leading to an outbreak of fire. Emergency crews subsequently raised the alarm level to three, indicating an operation of greater scale. The fire department deployed a substantial number of vehicles and personnel to bring the situation under control.

According to district fire commander Klaus Lugstein, the conveyor systems, among other things, were inspected. "Wir haben auch die Förderanlagen kontrolliert, um zu überprüfen, ob sich das Feuer nicht auch in andere Silos ausgebreitet hat", so Lugstein. The purpose was to prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent parts of the facility.
