Friedrich Schiller, Viennese entrepreneur and well-known society personality, died last Saturday at the age of 78 in his villa in Vienna's 13th municipal district of Hietzing after suffering cardiac arrest.

According to neighbors from the vicinity of the villa, Schiller suffered cardiac arrest around midday. Attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful, as the neighbors reported. The death of the society doyenne was subsequently confirmed in Austrian media.

Schiller was known in Vienna primarily as an entrepreneur in the field of children's fashion. He operated children's fashion stores in the federal capital and held the title of Kommerzialrat for decades, an honor bestowed in Austria for achievements in the business world.
