Under the motto “Gen Z Takes Charge,” demonstrations have been announced for October 31 in nearly 30 cities, where young people intend to put forward six political demands.

The “Gen Z Takes Charge” initiative has announced protests for October 31 in nearly 30 cities. The initiative’s website lists six demands designed to encapsulate the concerns of the demonstrators. The planned mobilization is therefore aimed at a generation seeking to make its dissatisfaction with social conditions and political decisions visible to a broad public.

A central demand is to provide schools with more funding. The initiative also calls for financial resources to be allocated to addiction counseling and psychotherapy rather than cut. Part of the program thus focuses on expanding psychosocial support at a time when many young people have to cope with significant pressures.
