German actress Luna Jordan, known for her award-winning performances and upcoming role in a Beatles-inspired series, has died unexpectedly at age 25, her Berlin-based agency Players announced Wednesday on behalf of her family.
Rising Star Cut Short
Jordan was in the midst of a promising career, having recently been cast as photographer and artist Astrid Kirchherr in the upcoming series "Hamburg Days," which chronicles The Beatles' early years. Production was underway at the time of her death.
The young actress gained critical acclaim for her portrayal of young prison inmate Samira in the 2022 film "Fuchs im Bau," for which she won the Austrian Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. That same year, she used her acceptance speech to speak out against sexualized abuse in the film and theater industries.
