Civil Protection Expansion

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt announced a 10-billion-euro investment to expand Germany’s civil protection infrastructure by 2029. The plan aims to enhance disaster preparedness and response capabilities across the country.

Albrecht Broemme, former head of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), expressed enthusiasm for the initiative. "Radar-Satelliten, Luftverteidigung, Aufklärung und Abwehr sind dabei von zentraler Bedeutung," he said, emphasizing the importance of radar satellites, air defense, reconnaissance, and deterrence in the plan.
