Germany sent another charter flight carrying 31 deported Afghan nationals from Leipzig/Halle to Kabul overnight into Tuesday, as confirmed by Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt on Friday.
According to dpa information, Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stated that the deportees were "überwiegend schwerste und schwere Straftäter". Details about the individuals were not initially made public. According to security circle sources, several of those affected are said to have come to attention in connection with homicide offenses, rapes, and other violent crimes.
According to dpa information, the flight departed from Leipzig/Halle Airport overnight. The Saxon Ministry of the Interior confirmed the deportation. The responsible Federal Ministry of the Interior was initially unavailable for comment.
