São Paulo, 04 November 2026
Haas has dismissed Esteban Ocon and named Brazilian Rafael Camara for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in São Paulo, where Camara is expected to make his Grand Prix debut.
Esteban Ocon is no longer part of the Haas team. The decision was announced on 3 November 2026 and clears the way for a personnel change ahead of Formula 1's home race in São Paulo.
Rafael Camara will make his Grand Prix debut there. For the Brazilian, this means a long journey from his home Grand Prix back to Formula 1's top racing class.
Team principal Ayao Komatsu said Haas does not make such personnel decisions lightly. Referring to an incident in Mexico City, he said: “Such decisions are never made lightly – that was already true for the incident in Mexico City, and it is true now. We are convinced that this is in the best interests of the team for the future”.
