Mercedes driver George Russell has won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku and celebrated his eighth Formula 1 career victory, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli retired following a crash.

Mercedes driver George Russell won the race ahead of Max Verstappen, celebrating the eighth Grand Prix victory of his career. The race also marked a personal first for the Briton: for the first time, he led a Formula 1 race from start to finish.
