Causes of the Insolvency

As causes of the insolvency, the AKV cites sharply rising personnel, energy, and material costs, as well as a significant decline in incoming orders. A major order from Canada was able to temporarily support operations, but a sustainable continuation could no longer be ensured. In addition, an order slump of around 30 percent in the first half of 2026 further exacerbated the economic situation.

Whether a continuation of individual ongoing orders or a realization of the company or individual business areas will be possible remains subject to further review by the insolvency administrator, the AKV continued. The opening of the bankruptcy proceedings by the Regional Court of Wels marks the formal start of the wind-down.

For the 56 affected employees, the opening of the bankruptcy proceedings means the loss of their jobs unless a restructuring solution is found. The level of severance provisions of 1.2 million euros points to long-standing employment relationships within the company, which further aggravates the personal consequences for the workforce.
